Mark Christensen wins. However, there are only 5 votes seperating second (Frank Shoemaker) and third place (Jeff Tidyman). All provisional ballots must be resolved with seven days of the election. There is an automatic recount if a race is seperated by less than 1% of the vote. Results are not certified until 40 days after the election.

In the 2002, 152,725 Republicans voted in the primary. If the same number voted and the above percentages hold true, then the race will be decided by about 760 votes. That means your votes matters.

The Club for Growth is a Political Action Committee that funds political races. The Club for Growth has a reputation for opposing direct farm payments and opposes tax credits or subsidies for ethanol. Both of these things are very big deals for Nebraska's 3rd District.

There is one major problem with David Harris' ad. It names the wrong person as taking money from the Club for Growth. The ad says it is John Hanson taking $150,000 but in reality it is Adrian Smith that is accepting large contributions from the group.

KRVN, the premier farm radio station, is still running the Harris ads even though they are aware the ads are false. They are however, giving John Hanson time to correct the error.

They have until March 21 to complete the form before we begin to complete the form on their behalf from the research we do. We don't really care what their answer is but we do want each candidate to provide whatever answer they are most comforatble with.

You can see the questions that we are asking by going to Races and then Legislature.

For now, other races will be done manually. I am working on getting software set up that wll allow us to do the other races online but that may not happen before the primary.
