Multiple new candidates today. Disctrict 44 has seven candidates. We will make contact with each campaign within the next week and ask them to complete a profile here. This will include a number of issue questions that will help you identify who you want to vote for. So watch closely.
Dates and cities for a series of six gubernatorial debates have been agreed upon by all three Republican candidates for governor.
The debates are scheduled as follows:
OMAHA Sunday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m.
LINCOLN Sunday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m.
NORTH PLATTE Wednesday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m.
NORFOLK Wednesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m.
SCOTTSBLUFF/GERING Monday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m.
GRAND ISLAND Sunday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Details such as location, topics, sponsors, hosts, panelists, moderators and protocol for each debate have yet to be finalized.
We are in the process of writing software that will allow us to send a set of questions to each Legislative candidate. The candidate will be able to complete their profile information online and answer the questions. The results will then be posted directly to the site. We hope to have the software written by the candidate filing deadline. So check back frequently to see what is happening.
