Financial: where the money comes fromA big difference in this District 18 race is that my campaign does NOT include PAC money. I am limiting it to modest individual contributions and my own means. If elected, I want to be able to freely consider the interests of the people of Nebraska with no financial strings attached to special interests. Since my campaign is being financed so simply and economically, I am not required to file a Campaign Statement, as I will be spending substantially less than the $5,000 "threshold" amount. On the other hand, my opponent is prepared to spend tens of thousands to seek re-election. That is his choice, but it is not the way I have decided to pursue this office.

Candidate Statement Here are my main goals as a legislative candidate: (1)significant tax relief that starts with a performance review of all entities receiving state funding; (2)advocacy for and promotion of educational quality and opportunity for all the children of our state; (3)substance abuse prevention and treatment, particularly w/regard to meth; & (4)respectful and open communication w/Constituents, even when we do not agree. I want District 18 Constituents to feel like your state senator acts like someone who understands and respects who put him in office to begin with.

I want to thank the over 2,600 people of District 18 who voted for me in the May 9th Primary Election. This tells me that there are many constituents in our district who want a change in representation from District 18. I believe that I offer a solid alternative to the incumbent in several important areas, as you can see from reviewing the responses in this great web site. Please review my website and contact me at any time.
